After my big move back to Minnesota, it was time to update my workspace. With working from home and creating full-time, I needed an area that would inspire creativity without overwhelming me. It took some time to figure out what I wanted, but I realized I had to change things up—I had pretty much stopped painting and drawing because I felt lost in the chaos.
When Casey and I first moved in together, we painted a pegboard that I knew I wanted to incorporate into my workspace. I just needed to find the right organizers to make it easy to locate my supplies. After browsing on Amazon, we discovered a set of organizers in various sizes that would work perfectly for my brushes, markers, pens, and more. Initially, we bought just one set, thinking it would be sufficient, but I quickly realized I had underestimated how much I actually had! A few days later, the second set arrived, allowing me to finish organizing.

Let’s talk about the organizers! I wanted something that would match the color of the pegboard, and the black pairs beautifully with the green. The paint color is Valspar New Patina (P061). I chose these specific organizers because they allow me to lay my markers and pens flat. Being on the shorter side, this design makes it easier for me to grab what I need and see all the colors at a glance. I also used cups for my pencils, pens, scissors, and taller supplies. The medium-sized bins were perfect for my main markers.
Now, I’m looking for ideas to finish up the decor so that I have a workspace that motivates me every day. Do you have any suggestions? Let me know!
