Another DIY video tutorial hot off the press...er...iPhone!
I have seen blanket ladders all over Pinterest and Instagram feed, and thought, “Man! This would be a great way to display some of my BAJILLION throw blankets.” (This is not an exaggeration- I literally have a closet that is bursting at the hinges with blankets!)
Now I love going shopping and could’ve easily purchased a ladder-or even have gone thrifting for one, but this was something that looked easy enough to make- and it was!
The material list is short, and assembling only takes 20 minutes or so. The wait comes from drying time: wood treatment (paint, stain, etc.) and the wood glue (we let this dry overnight with a clamp to hold it into place.
Here are a few things we learned from this project:
Measure not once or twice, but THREE times before cutting.
24” may be a little too wide for the rungs. I don’t mind it, but it’s a little wider than a typical ladder.
ALWAYS let your dog supervise the project- very easy to please.
