HOW TO: DIY RUSTIC CHRISTMAS DECOR

Updated: Dec 30, 2023

AHH! 19 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS!! (I am super pumped by the way 😏)

I have been enjoying partaking in all of the classic Christmas-y activities
baking cookies (even though I forgot to post a picture on #nationalcookieday
*gasp*!), picking out a tree, shopping & wrapping, AND DECORATING!

For the past 5 years or so I have decorated with bright, neon colors, but this year I wanted to mix it up- I decided to go with more rustic dĂ©cor and I LOVE IT! 😍😍😍

But wait
what’s a girl to do when the only Christmas decorations she has don’t match her holiday vision?? She gets crafty! 😉 I found way to take my old decorations and things lying around the house to turn my winter wonderland dream in to a reality
.all for less than $30.00!!

Wait
WHAT?!?!
and now I’m going to share my tips and tricks with you through inspiration I found on Pinterest and how I put my personal spin on it all 🎄⛄🎅

(If this doesn’t get you in the Christmas mood, I don’t know what will!)

MY WINTER WONDERLAND- DIY RUSTIC CHRISTMAS

Snowflake Clothespin Ornaments

(These were SUPER easy and the tutorial is below! Disassemble some clothespins, grab some hot glue, spray paint, and little accent pieces...and VOILA!)

Pine Cone Ornaments

(Do you have TONS of cinnamon pine cones that have lost their scent like I do?? Again, grab some hot glue, burlap, twine, and other accent pieces and you're done!)

Wrapped Bulbs

(I didn't want to have to buy new bulbs, so I found some fabric I liked and wrapped my old bulbs up!)

Coffee Filter Wreath

(This was made with a foam wreath form, a pack of little coffee filters, and some accent pieces. Oh, yeah...and LOTS of hot glue!)

Rustic Mason Jars

(Who doesn't love a good painted mason jar?? I HIGHLY recommend using chalk finish spray paint for this project...love it!)

Rustic Christmas Tree Base

Buffalo Check Throw Pillows

(This project was made from a canvas drop cloth, fabric (the same as what I used for wrapping my ornaments), some iron transfer paper (Heat'n'Bond), and my CRICUT! I absolutely ADORE these pillows!)
